Happy Birthday, String Thing

It's a String Thing is One Year Old!
And to mark the occasion, Adele Bruno (the Brains behind the String Thing) has designed this string:

Some very lovely tangles have been published lately; Adele has chosen a few of them for this challenge:  They include:
Meringue by CZT Kelley Kelly
A-Fog by Kathy Redmond
Roscoe by Vicki Bassett
Kitl by Jem Miller AKA Ragged Ray

And for sentimental reasons,
CZT Margaret Bremner's pattern Lotus Pods.
The very first challenge featured this wonderful tangle.

First I whipped off a Twinchie (more about Twinchies and Bijou later) to get a feel for the string and tangles:

And then completed a full size tile:
Tangles: Meringue, A-Fog, Kitl, and Lotus Pods.

Be sure to check out all the entries @ Tickled to Tangle, on Monday, when Adele Bruno posts them. The vast differences that can be achieved using the same tangles on the same string are truly incredible. And, if you've a mind to try a String Thing yourself, check back on Tuesday, when she offers the new ones.
